Tuition Assistance

Southern NH Education Center (SNHEC) is committed to providing admission to qualified students regardless of their financial situation and to maintaining a student body that reflects the diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds within our community. To that end, effective in the 2018-19 School Year, we are offering a School-wide Tuition Assistance Program.

Tuition Assistance is awarded based on a student’s need given the parent/guardian’s financial abilities. The awarding of Tuition Assistance is an annual process and is not automatically renewed from year to year. As such, families are required to reapply for aid each year. However, we are committed to supporting a student through their tenure at SNHEC as long as there is demonstrated family financial need.

How to Apply

Tuition Assistance applications are made directly through a third party, Smart Aid. Smart Aid collects basic financial information on income, assets and liabilities, family size, siblings in tuition-based schools, and any special circumstances. Members of the SNHEC Tuition Assistance Committee, which includes the Head of School, the Business Manager and the Admissions Director, will review this confidential information to determine a family’s eligibility for assistance. Students and families receiving assistance are also expected to respect the confidentiality of this information.

The Smart Aid Tuition Assistance Program opens on January 1, 2018 for the 2018-19 School Year. There is a non-refundable application fee of $35.00. ALL current SNHEC families applying for Tuition Assistance for the 2018-19 School Year must complete the Tuition Assistance application by January 19, 2018. New families are encouraged to complete and submit Admissions and Tuition Assistance applications at the same time, though priority is provided to current families and subsequent awards handled on a first-come basis.
